Hello! I have been a registered nurse for 17 years and a nurse practitioner for 3 years. I have spent my whole career working in critical care between ICU and ER. I have been a certified ACLS instructor for 3 years and love teaching people ACLS. I received my diploma in nursing from Lambton College in 2003, my degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2006, my master's in nursing in 2012 from Walden University, and my post-master's nurse practitioner certificate from the University of Toronto in 2016. Come learn with us and have fun while doing it.
Melanie Harper, RN, BScN
Hello! I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years. Originally graduated from Lambton Colleges' Diploma Program with Dean's Honor, and was hired in our local hospital on the surgical in-patient unit. I worked in-patient surgery for 1 year before applying and changing my nursing focus to emergency nursing. I have been an emergency room nurse for 12 years and counting and couldn't be happier. ACLS is such a large part of my everyday job that I wanted nothing more than to be a resource for my fellow colleagues and community. In 2014, I completed my BScN, through the University of Victoria, BC.
I received my ACLS instructor status in 2014 and my BLS instructor status in 2017.
I find extreme gratification in watching people grow with education and gain a new understanding of ACLS with each class taught.
Alex Pasqual, RN, BScN, BSc
I have been a registered nurse for almost seven years, having obtained my BScN through the University of Windsor. Since graduating, I have worked in emergency medicine, both in rural and small urban settings. I also have experience in intensive care and have found comfort with BLS skills to be essential components in the healthcare setting.
I obtained my BLS instructor status in 2017 and thoroughly enjoy contributing to others' learning of material that can save a life. I have certified in ACLS as a provider and am looking to obtain my ACLS instructor status in the near future.
